Positions Which are Open Until Filled
After the closing date, full-time faculty, administrator, and some classified positions go into "Open Until Filled" status. Once the status has changed, your application is not guaranteed to be reviewed. Applications received after the closing date will only be forwarded to the hiring committee on a rolling basis, if requested by the comittee, until the position is filled or cancelled. If your application is reviewed, you will be notified by phone or mail of your status. "

Application Instructions
Before completing your application, please review the application requirements on the job announcement to determine what documents need to be included with your application. You must submit a completed application packet in order to be considered for a position. All positions require additional documents such as a diversity statement, resume, and application. Most positions require you to submit a cover letter. Some positions also require transcripts, CDs, verification of licenses, and other miscellaneous documentation. Incomplete applications will not be forwarded to the hiring committee. Here are the application materials you will need to gather before you apply:

You will also be required to provide a diversity statement. A diversity statement is a summary you will provide, describing your understanding, commitment, and/or experience with diversity as stated in the job announcement.
There are two methods for submitting an application:
Method #1: A Web Application: An on-line employment application is available at http://www.fhdajobs.net. At this site you are able to review and apply to all open positions. Once your on-line application is created, you may use it every time there is a position in which you are interested.
Method #2: Hard Copy Application: For faculty and management positions, a completed District Faculty/Management Application Form is required. For staff positions, a completed Staff Application Form is required. A separate application packet must be submitted for each job number. Photocopies of the application are acceptable. A resume or vita may not be substituted for a completed application. Applicants are encouraged to photocopy all important/ pertinent documents.
Hours/Application Deadlines
We are open from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. We accept application packets until 4:30 pm Pacific Time on the closing date stated on the job announcement. Most positions close Friday, with some exceptions.
