Leadership Lab Program

Growing leaders. Strengethening FHDA

About Leadership Launchpad

Across the district, many leaders have committed to leadership development in their teams.  Leadership Launchpad is a foundational program that incorporates this work.

This program introduces individuals to their Everything DiSC profile, enabling participants to gain insight into their communication preferences, strengths, and interactions with others.

The program also introduces participants to leadership competencies and expectations for community college leaders. Participants also reflect on how their DiSC workstyles influences their leadership approach, helping them connect self-awareness to effective leadership behaviors.

As of Fall 2026, to complete the Leadership Launchpad* program you will complete:

A) Workshop (attend in person): Everything DiSC: Your Workstyle and Effective Communication (2.5 hours)

B) Applied Work: Follow-up reflection and applied activity (to be completed independently) related to your DiSC style, leadership & communication.
Your DiSC facilitator will follow-up with the Applied Work information after completion of the Everything DiSC workshop (1 hour)

*All participants who attend the workshop and complete the applied work will receive a Leadership Launchpad certificate of recognition.

We are currently accepting sign-ups for upcoming Everything DiSC workshops (held in-person):

Tuesday, September 15th, 10am - 12:30 pm (District Board Room)
Monday, October 12th, 1:30pm - 4:00pm (District Board Room

To sign up for one of these workshops, please complete this FORM and we will follow up with further instructions.

About Leadership Lab (Inaugural Cohorts Start Summer 2026)

Leadership Lab is part of FHDA’s leadership development pathway and is designed for employees who want to grow their leadership skills, explore career mobility, and prepare for broader organizational responsibilities. The Leadership Lab program will help participants deepen practical leadership competencies through cohort learning, applied work, and interactive sessions.

What are guiding questions for this program?

  • What does it mean to lead beyond my role within the District?
  • How does my work connect to and impact other departments, campuses, and the institution as a whole?
  • How do I navigate situations where there are competing priorities across teams or campuses?
  • What is within my sphere of influence, and how can I use it effectively?
  • How do I contribute to solutions instead of waiting for others to solve problems?
  • How do I continue developing myself in ways that strengthen both my role and the institution?

What is the program format?

  • Hybrid: 6 sessions (a combination of virtual and in-person)
  • Applied work
