The professional development department is committed to the coordination, administration and delivery of training programs in partnership with campus and community stakeholders.  Professional development offerings seek to build employee capacity in working with our diverse community members for the inclusion of all. Our goal is to provide information and resources that will facilitate training and development opportunities.

Equal Employment Opportunity Training for Hiring Committees:

If you are a current employee who has previously taken an EEO training with FHDA, but whose training has expired, you are eligible to complete an online self-paced refresher course that will re-certify you for 2 years.  If you are unsure about your EO training status, please email Keisha Sentosa (sentosakeisha@fha.edu). 

Refresher Course  (for employees who have previously taken an EEO training with FHDA)

We designed an alternative "refresher course" that you can complete quickly and independently. The refresher course has received wonderful feedback and allows you to focus on your areas of interest.  The refresher course counts as taking the class and recertifies you for two years. 

Please navigate to the website entitled Outsmarting Human Minds and watch/listen/read a minimum of 3 offerings from the site and send Marietta Harris (harrismarietta@fhda.edu) and Keisha Sentosa (sentosakeisha@fhda.edu) a reflection on what you found of value, what surprised you and/or what warrants further exploration.  Once we receive your email we will update your training dates.  Recertifications are good for two years.
