Foothill-De Anza protects the rights of pregnant and parenting students and employees, including pregnancy, childbirth, and lactation accommodations, as required under Title IX and California law.

• No discrimination based on pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage, termination, lactation, IVF, or related conditions.
• Medically necessary absences are excused with the opportunity to make up work.
• Reasonable adjustments: breaks, seating, elevator access, larger desks, parking accommodations, etc.
• Private, non-bathroom lactation space and reasonable break time for pumping.
• No retaliation for requesting help or filing a report.
